The History of Cardno TBE
Cardno TBE was established in 1984 by Patrick (Pat) L. Beyer, PE, who continues today as President. The firm was originally known as Tampa Bay Engineering.
TBE grew to a multi-disciplined firm with more than 448 employees in over 32 offices throughout the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico and China.
In September, 2008, Cardno TBE joined forces with international firm and Australian based Cardno Limited in a merger.
TBE brings to Cardno a core competency in coordination of major infrastructure projects - particularly in the areas of utility mapping, utility coordination, right-of-way acquisition and relocation, transportation engineering, construction engineering, and civil and environmental engineering.
Cardno brings to TBE a broader range of civil and structural engineering, international development assistance, environmental, project management and planning services across many countries.

Construction Services
Flexibility to Meet Project Complexity. You benefit from Cardno TBE’s flexible construction engineering services. You have either full-time, site-based resident engineers or part-time inspection staff, depending on your preference as well as project size and complexity. Either way, our expert construction management staff is committed to verifying that your projects are constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, applicable codes and the quality of workmanship you demand and expect.

We monitor construction activities and perform or monitor field quality control
testing and sampling to ensure that project materials and workmanship meet

Active in Community Service

Campbell's Labels for Education
Cardno TBE collects labels from the cans of Campbell Soup Company products to give to local schools across the country. Schools can redeem the labels collected for free equipment.

Food Drive
Each November a food drive by our associate’s bring in over 4,500 items for needy families and individuals. The Wonders Foundation receives the nonperishable and hygiene products collected in our corporate headquarters and our branch offices give to local organizations. |

General Mills Box Tops for Education
Cardno TBE collects the program Logo from Box Tops of General Mills and Betty Crocker products. Each logo collected is worth 10¢ and given to local schools across the country.

Associates purchase toys and clothing for over 40 children of local needy families each year during the December holidays.

Adopt-A-Highway
The Adopt-A-Highway Program gives local citizens an opportunity to help keep roads and highways clean and attractive throughout the county. Cardno TBE is responsible for a two-mile section of State Road 60 near our corporate headquarters in Clearwater, FL.

Dress for Success Tampa Bay
Cardno TBE has held several suit drives to assist with the Dress for success mission “to advance low-income women's economic and social development and to encourage self-sufficiency through career development and employment retention.” Individuals are given a complete outfit to wear to a job interview and a week's worth of separates when she gets the job.

Habitat for Humanity Habitat invites people of all backgrounds, races and religions to build houses together in partnership with families in need. Our Clearwater office participates quarterly in the construction of homes in the Tampa Bay Area.

Blood Drive
Cardno TBE has a quarterly Blood Drive where the Florida Blood Services bus comes to the corporate headquarters for donations. Advanced advertising encourages participation from other companies located in the same complex.

Red Cross Donation
Cardno TBE gave the Red Cross $24,000 to assist with the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Recovery efforts. This contribution was a 50/50 donation between our associates and the company.

Annual Cardno TBE
Charity Golf Invitational
Cardno TBE Charity Golf Invitational raised $12,000.
Beneficiaries include Pinellas Education Foundation and Hillsborough Education Foundation Science and Engineering Fairs.
Cardno TBE hosted the 6th Annual Cardno TBE Charity Golf Invitational at Lansbrook Golf Club to raise money to support Pinellas Education Foundation and Hillsborough Education Foundation students participating in their local Science and Engineering Fairs. |
