Growing Brownfields Presence

12/03/2005

TBE’s brownfields presence continues to grow in Florida with two new awards: one for the City of Ocala, and one for the Pinellas County Economic Development Department.

The City of Ocala has selected TBE as one of six firms to perform environmental assessments on various brownfields properties targeted for redevelopment. In Pinellas County, TBE has been selected by the Department of Economic Development as one of four consultants to perform Phase I and II environmental assessments. TBE previously helped the county obtain a $400,000 grant from the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) for Phase I and II assessments, and TBE has also provided grant administration assistance to the county.

Ocala and Pinellas County are TBE’s most recent public-sector brownfields clients. TBE is also providing brownfields services to the City of Clearwater, City of Cocoa, Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, City of Tampa, Seminole Tribe of Florida, City of St. Petersburg, and City of St. Pete Beach.
