TBE Group Golf Tournament Raises Money for Science and Engineering Education

08/31/2006

TBE Group Charity Golf Invitational successfully raised $12,000
Beneficiaries include Pinellas Education Foundation and Hillsborough Education Foundation Science and Engineering Fairs

CLEARWATER, FL – TBE Group’s annual golf tournament is always a fun event, one that associates, families, friends, clients and suppliers look forward to each year. However, fun is just one item on the agenda, as the event is also a fund raiser. Once again, TBE Group partnered with the Pinellas Education Foundation and Hillsborough Education Foundation to raise money to support students, from kindergarten through 12th grade, participating in their local Science and Engineering Fairs.

Through corporate sponsorships and a TBE Group corporate donation, the Seventh Annual TBE Group Charity Golf Invitational successfully raised $12,000! TBE Group presented $6,000 to each of the educational foundations.

The event was held on June 3, 2006, at Lansbrook Golf Club. More than 100 golfers competed for the coveted prize, with the first place trophy going to the winning team of Rick Bowers, Nathan Kerr, Karma Killian and Tom Mahony.

“The Charity Golf Invitational is a great way for TBE to host a fun day of golf and contribute to our community by raising money for such worthwhile events as the local Science and Engineering Fairs,” said TBE President Pat Beyer. “These students are potential engineers, and some of them could very well be TBE associates in the future. We want to give them as much support as we can.”
