More than 25 years research and economic development experience, with the last 17 years in the Tampa Bay area.

Recipient of numerous community awards.

CLEARWATER, FL – TBE Group, a full-service international consulting, design and engineering firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of James M. Hosler as Economic Redevelopment and Demographics Manager. With his recognized demographics expertise, Hosler will oversee demographics and economic research, integrating these areas into TBE’s already robust redevelopment consulting services, which include planning, site development, environmental management, brownfields, GIS, and real estate brokerage.

Hosler joins TBE after more than 17 years with the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission in Tampa, where he was Team Leader for Research and Economic Development. In addition to managing the research and planning services staff, Hosler was responsible for special studies and economic development and redevelopment plans for local communities within the county, creating more than $500 million in new public investment. He was instrumental in creating social, economic and demographic regional databases that measure levels of geography smaller than census tracts, and he was recognized as a statewide expert on national, state and local economic and demographic data. Previously, Hosler held numerous positions with the Florida Department of Commerce in Tallahassee, including Economist Analyst, Economist Supervisor, and most recently, Bureau Chief of the Department’s Bureau of Business Assistance.

He has also received the Advocacy Planner Award from the Sun Coast Section of the American Planning Association’s Florida Chapter, a Certificate of Recognition from the United States Department of Commerce, and a Certificate of Excellence from the United States Census Bureau.

“We are extremely pleased that Jim has chosen to bring his extensive planning, research, economic development, and demographic expertise to TBE,” said Director Randy Kranjec, TBE’s Planning Services Group Manager. “His public-sector experience, community involvement, leadership talents, and excellent reputation as an economic and demographics expert will further enhance TBE’s planning and redevelopment opportunities throughout Florida. We know he will be missed at the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission, but we look forward to his contributions to TBE and to the growth of our planning and redevelopment service offerings within the communities we serve.”

Subsurface Utility Engineering: Cutting construction costs and claims with reliable underground utility information

Since people began building civil infrastructure in North America the task of obtaining reliable, accurate, and up-to-date information about the location of underground utilities has been a formidable one.
