New office offers SUE/utility coordination services to southwest Texas market.
Fernando Barrera will manage Subsurface Utility Engineering, utility coordination projects and business development efforts.
SAN ANTONIO, TX – TBE Group, a full-service international consulting, design and engineering firm, is pleased to announce the opening of its new San Antonio, Texas, office and the appointment of Fernando Barrera as Senior Utility Coordinator for its southwest Texas operations.

In overseeing the office’s operations, Barrera will manage Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) and utility coordination projects in San Antonio and southwest Texas. He will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with the firm’s public- and private-sector clients in the area.
Barrera joins TBE from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), where he was most recently Interim Right-of-Way Administrator for the Laredo District in Laredo, Texas. Previously he was the Laredo District Utility Coordinator. Prior to joining TxDOT, Barerra was in real estate sales and development. A licensed real estate broker in Texas, Barrera attended Texas A&M University in Laredo.
