PIARC Committee on Roads, Transportation and Regional Development (C4) does not directly examine the topics linked to road construction, but is interested in all the procedures, methods and experiments which help reduce costs and improve efficiency. Keeping Up with Growth in Texas 2/27/06 Due to growth and development in Texarkana, Texas, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is widening 1.3 miles of Farm-to-Market (FM) 559/Richmond Road, as well as upgrading the storm sewer system and realigning intersecting roadways. TxDOT has selected TBE to acquire 83 parcels, both commercial and residential, to accommodate this construction. TBE’s right-of-way (ROW) acquisition services, which will include relocation assistance for three residential and two business displacements, are expected to last more than 12 months.
